15 Reasons Why Teachers Know Everything About You...Yes, Everything

I remember passing notes in elementary school and always getting caught red-handed by my teachers. They then proceeded to threaten us with the reality of having to read it aloud...um, no thanks.

I always wondered how they knew we were passing notes, but now I realize that for starters, they had eyes and a little bit of common sense. I mean, we could not have been any more obvious. Teachers know everything, they see everything, and they hear everything. That's just the way it goes.

Here are some things that your teachers know about you that you didn't know they knew, you know?

1. Why you were late

Teachers know that "my alarm didn't go off," means "I pressed snoozed five times before I debated faking sick, and then I dragged my sorry self here."

2. Why you really didn't do your homework

"My dog ate my homework" just doesn't fly these days, kids.

3. When you are the class bully

Just be nice, OK?

4. They most CERTAINLY know when you are texting in class

Sitting with your hands in your lap looking down is not a natural way to be...especially when there is a bright screen light reflecting off your face.

5. Your teacher knows when you think they are cute

Because it is pretty obvious when you look like this all class:

6. It also works both ways, your teacher knows when you dislike them

7. They know who you have a crush on in the class

Like I said, they hear and see everything.

8. They know the difference between when you actually have to use the washroom and when you want to go meet your friends in the hallway

9. Teachers know the difference between a wrong answer and when you just did not study...at all

10. Teachers know when you are having a bad day

Talk to them about it; you'll be surprised how much teachers are willing to help.

11. Teachers know when your parents put a lot of pressure on your academic career

If you work hard, they'll try to help you get the marks you deserve.

12. They will also know when you copied your friend's homework five seconds before class

13. Your teacher will be able to tell the difference between when you genuinely are sick and need to go home...or when you really just want to go back to bed

14. Your teacher is just as aware as your classmates that you are being a know-it-all and/or a show-off

This is not a good look, so tone it down.

15. All in all, your teacher knows you better than you think

So keep the phone in your bag, the love notes out of sight, and try doing your homework on time for once ;)
